StoryLine Coordinator Chosen

The ECHO Network has hired a new coordinator to manage its StoryLine program. Megan Shuford is joining the ECHO Network staff with over fifteen years of experience in non-profit and community-based organizations.  She received a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a concentration in Management and Community Practice from the University of Tennessee and a Bachelor’s Degree in Peace and Global Studies from Earlham College. While at the University of Tennessee, Megan was awarded a Chancellor’s Honors Citation for Extraordinary Professional Promise as a result of her work in community development with Legal Aid of East TN.   Her breadth of experience also includes youth programming for Girls. Inc. of Wayne County, Indiana, fundraising for Stone Circles at The Stone House in Mebane, North Carolina and direct social service work with adults with developmental disabilities and pregnant and parenting teens in North Carolina and Tennessee.

Megan is currently engaged in a conversation project of her own, interviewing and documenting the life experiences and philosophies of her close family and friends.  Her other interests include community building, photography, dance, dismantling racism, volunteering with Hospice of the Piedmont and getting to know her neighbors.
