The ECHO Network began in 2003 as an initiative of The Winston-Salem Foundation to further the Foundation's work to build social eapital. The mission of the ECHO Network is to build a better community by providing opportunities to foster enriching, trusting, and long-lasting relationships among diverse people.

Networking Not Working?

This online social networking stuff is serious business!  But, it’s also only part of the equation. A working definition of networking is “the practice of making contact and exchanging information with other people, groups or institutions.” Still relevant?  Yes, of course.  And the surge of online networking tools has made bulk networking for business or personal purposes almost too easy. On the other hand, relationship building (that is, one-to-one) requires a certain level of investment and trust. MORE
